This pattern includes three different edgings, three different cable patterns, and three different crown finishings, all of which can be mixed and matched to create the perfect hat. Instructions for both beanie-style and slouchy-style are included.
Pattern includes photos and instructions for each part. Make up to 9 different hats with one pattern!
SIZES: One size, to fit average woman.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Circumference is approximately 19 inches (48 cm). Will stretch to fit heads up to 23 inches (58 cm).
YARN: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes [100% wool; 110 yds/101 m per 50g skein]; 2 skeins per hat; shown in colors Fairy Tale (magenta), Jalapeno (green), and Hyacinth (purple).
Yarn substitution note: If substituting, you will need approximately 160 yards of worsted-weight yarn.
Recommended yarns: Cascade 220, Malabrigo Merino Worsted, Malabrigo Rios, Lion Brand Superwash Merino Cashmere.
NEEDLES: US #6 [4.0 mm] circular needle, 16 inches long; US #7 [4.5 mm] circular needle, 16 inches long; US #7 [4.5 mm] double-pointed needles, set of four or five.
GAUGE: 18 sts/24 rows = 4 inches/10cm in stockinette stitch with larger needles
SKILLS NEEDED: Working in the round, simple cables, simple decreases
