Santa Slouch features a double-thick ribbed brim (the two layers are joined by knitting stitches together–no sewing required!). A pompom tutorial with pictures is included in the pattern.
Pattern uses approximately 120-150 yds of MC and 30-50 yds of CC.
SIZE: One size.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: The double ribbing is extremely stretchy, so the hat will fit heads from 18 – 26 inches [46 – 66 cm] in circumference.
YARN: Patons Classic Wool (100% wool; 210 yds/192 m per 100g skein); 1 skein Bright Red (main color) & 1 skein Aran (contrasting color).
NEEDLES: US #7 [4.5 mm] circular needle, 16 or 20 inches long. Set US #7 [4.5 mm] double-pointed needles.
NOTIONS: Stitch marker; yarn needle; thin cardboard and sharp scissors to make pompom.
GAUGE: 19 sts/26 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch on size US #7 [4.5 mm] needles.
SKILLS NEEDED: Working in the round, basic decreases (pompom instructions included in pattern).
