New Pattern Release and Contest!

14

Boy, people aren’t kidding when they say babies are a lot of work, haha. I’ve been working hard to keep up with my knit design work, and I’m afraid my poor blog has suffered. But I’m resurfacing to show off a new design!

Scroll down to the bottom of this post for your chance to win a copy of the pattern book that includes this design.

This is Roundstone Coat, from the Knit Picks Fall 2014 collection, Burnished:

Roundstone backIt’s designed in bulky wool for a toasty outer layer, perfect for fall outings.

Roundstone Front

The bold cable pattern is my favorite part of this coat. It’s challenging enough to keep your interest, but easy enough to be fun:

I have a shopping bag and a hat on my WIP list now. I’m hoping to make a couple pairs of socks for Christmas, but I may just concentrate on finishing some older projects.

I’m in the Southern Hemisphere, so it is Spring for us. But I am finishing up several sweaters before it becomes too hot as well as plenty of socks- including pink and purple fluoro ones for my husband.

I’m trying to get a couple of afghan WIPs out of the way so I can start my Christmas knitting – it’s all about hats this year. Lovely giveaway!

I usually want to knit all the things, all the time, but one specific fall goal is a red sweater. I just **need** a red sweater — it’s my happy color.

Love your cardi coat! Enjoy the time with your little guy — he’s about to get into a really fun stage of interacting back, if he’s not already.

My Autumn is shaping up to be a mad whirl of designing and Christmas knitting, so far, but if I had any time to knit for myself at all I’d definitely be eyeing up the Cartier Cowl Neck Sweater from that book (as well as half the other things in it). Nom!

I would love to knit something for me, a long sweater duster perhaps, but more likely will be baby knits and softies!

I am planning a couple of shawls, hat and sweater for fall. Hoping to get them done before Christmas. Time flies around this time of year and before we know it Christmas Eve is here.

I have several accessory designs planned, a shawl for me, and a baby blanket for a cousin-yet-to-be-born. It would be nice if I could squeeze a sweater in for myself, but that will probably be started early next year. :)

Congratulations on your new pattern release! It’s so classy!
I plan to finish a tunic for myself in worsted weight yarn, the same as I designed for my little daughter, and finally put a pattern together. Also there are always new spontaneous ideas come all the time, but I’ll be focusing on accessories mainly, I need mitts and leg warmers:) These are all aside from the many different projects such as test knits and KALs, I am participating this Fall:)

Wow, that is so gorgeous, and the burnt orange is simply perfect for it.
This fall I am hoping to knit more shawls. I just moved to Texas and it’s not going to get super duper cold here, so I know that shawls will come in handy.
Thanks again for sharing this beautiful pattern ;)
